Join A Cat’s Tale’s Weekly Adoption Event!

A Cat's Tale is glad you have chosen to rescue a cat. Most cats end up homeless because their former owners did not understand or plan for the long- term commitment of owning a companion animal. In an effort to make sure cats finds their forever home each adoption begins with an adoption application/interview and sometimes a home visit. A Cat's Tale take the time to make sure that they are matching potential adopter’s with a cat that will fit their lifestyle and vise versa. All animals are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and additional care is provided as needed to ensure the health of each animal. Each adopted cat or kitten also comes with a free vet visit. It is their policy to require an adoption fee that helps to cover medical and routine care of the cats in their care. FEES: Kittens: $125.00, 2 to 5 years: $100.00, 5 Years and older $75, Senior cats (6+ years) $60. Visit: https://acatstale.org/volunteer-foster/

Join Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy’s Virtual Presentation Biodiversity Information Collecting in the Nature Preserves

Join this virtual presentation to learn how you can help PVP collect information about biodiversity in the Nature Preserves using iNaturalist along their trails. They will share information about how to access local hiking trails, how to take pictures that are useful to scientific research and how to share those pictures through the community science platform iNaturalist. You can then put your training into action later in the week as you document wildlife in the preserves at your convenience during the City Nature Challenge April 26-April 29. During that time, you can hike the preserve trails, take pictures and post them to the iNaturalist. Their staff will be identifying and recording what observations are made to enhance our knowledge of the diverse wildlife using the preserves. No prior experience is necessary and all you need is a smartphone or a camera and a desire to get out on the trails to see what you can find. After registration, you will receive a Zoom link to access the training at least 1 day prior to the training date.No prior experience necessary, all you need is a smartphone or a camera and a desire to get out on the trails to see what you can find.
