Foster a Dog and Save a Life with Ace of Hearts

One of the best ways you can help Ace of Hearts is volunteering to foster a dog. For each new foster home that opens up, they are able to save the life of another shelter dog on death row. Opening your heart and home to a dog in need can bring you joy and the satisfaction that comes from knowing you've made a difference in an animal's life. Simply put, fostering saves lives! You provide the love and attention; they provide everything else! They provide you with food, treats, a bed, and any veterinary care the dog may need. If you are ready to make a difference and save a life by fostering an Ace Dog, please send an email telling them about your experience with dogs and your current situation, i.e., what hours you work, family pets, etc. to [email protected]. Please include a phone number where they can reach you! Visit: https://acesangels.org/acefoster.html

Volunteer with Adopt a PIG California

Are you wondering how you can help the rescue effort in CA? You don’t have a lot of money but would like to assist in some way? Do you have extras laying around the house of things you know piggies like and you have no use for them? Maybe you found some horribly ugly blankets deeply discounted at the local thrift store and would like a place to get rid of them? Maybe that igloo dog house that’s never used in the backyard anymore could be picked up and used to keep a piggy warm this winter? We are ALWAYS looking for and have a desperate need for any of the following.. * FOSTER HOMES (long/short term - please request application - home check required) * ADOPTIVE HOMES (permanent placement - please request application - home check required) * TRANSPORT ASSISTANCE (needed all over the state - please leave us a message with current location, type of vehicle available, and max distance willing to travel) * SHELTER/TEMP HOLD VOLUNTEERS (do you live near any shelter or animal control facility and willing to check in on pigs as they come in, take pictures, assess personality and get contact/release date info - pull them when available, possibly hold a day or two or transport to foster/adopter? You don’t need to do all of these things - but if you live near a shelter and willing to be contacted when a pig arrives - please let us know the shelter name, location and how far you are and what you might be able to assist with) * CRATES (any size to assist with transport) * BLANKETS (all sizes, No crocheted style and no electric blankets) * FEED/HAY/CANNED PUMPKIN (contact us direct for pick up or nearest drop off location) * SHELTERS/DOG HOUSES/FENCING MATERIALS (contact us direct for pick up or nearest drop off location) * GIFT CARDS TO FEED STORES/TRACTOR SUPPLY (can be sent to specific rescue or directly to us to be used for placement/transport items needed) * CASH DONATIONS (can be paid direct to a specific rescue, veterinarian, feed store.) If you’d like to be a foster/adoptive home for a pig(s) we’d be incredibly happy to send an application to complete and set up a good time to complete your home check - we can answer any questions you have, find a great match for your home and family, and make sure you have everything you need prior to piggy coming..
