Join the Rubio Canyon Preserve Habitat Restoration & Trail Maintenance at Arroyos and Foothills Conservancy

Join AFC and the Friends of Rubio Canyon at the Rubio Canyon Preserve in Altadena! Help maintain the trails at Rubio Canyon to preserve public access, restore impacted areas, and care for this unique and ecologically important landscape. Please bring water, sunscreen, and work gloves. They recommend wearing pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes. If available, feel free to bring any of the following tools: McLeod, shovel, bow rake, pick mattock, folding saw, and loppers. Other tools and equipment will be available.⁠ Volunteers meet at Rubio Canyon Trailhead at the corner of Pleasantridge Drive and Rubio Vista Road. Street parking is available. Please plan to arrive on time, as the crew will depart shortly after the scheduled start time and may be difficult to locate once on the trail. Cell phone service in the area is limited. Visit the Rosemont Preserve Open Gate at Arroyos and Foothills Conservancy

Join AFC at Rosemont Preserve in La Crescenta! Every month they gather to maintain this special resource for the community and wildlife. Restoration tasks can range from planting new native plants, maintaining the trails and bioswale, and more. Please bring water, sunscreen, and work gloves. They recommend wearing pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes. If available, feel free to bring any of the following tools: shovels, spades, loppers, hatchets, clippers. Other tools and equipment will be available.⁠ The Preserve is located in La Crescenta at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. ⁠Parking is available at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave, where bathrooms are located. Visit the Rosemont Preserve Open Gate at Arroyos and Foothills Conservancy

Spend your Sunday afternoon at the Rosemont Preserve! Enjoy the serene environment of Rosemont Preserve – wander through trails lined with native plants or spend some quiet contemplative time under the beautiful Oak and Sycamore trees. Friends of the Rosemont Preserve Committee members will be available to answer questions and show you this community resource we have worked so hard to protect. Please wear sturdy shoes to walk the trail and bring water. The Preserve is located in La Crescenta at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. Parking is available at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave, where bathrooms are located. No RSVP required to attend.
