Sign up for a Guided Tour with the Pasadena Humane Society
Pasadena Humane is more than a shelter; they are a resource for all animals in the community. Join them for a guided tour to learn more about how they help animals in need. During this hour-long tour, you’ll hear about their history, programs, and services while viewing adorable dogs, cats and critters looking for new homes. The tour will start at the Animal Resource Center. We’ll then travel through the Neely Cat Center and dog kennels learning more about the animals in our care. The tour will end at the Shelter Shop. Tours are appropriate for all ages and limited to 15 guests.

Join the Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run at the Pasadena Humane Society
The Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run is one of Pasadena Humane’s biggest events each year, with proceeds helping to save the lives of thousands of animals in our community with programs such as foster care, kitten nursery, animal ICU, wildlife and more. In addition to the Walk & Run course, you and your pup can stroll through the Vendor Marketplace, play in the Sit, Stay, and Play! Training Park, enjoy tasty food truck treats and participate in the paw-some doggy costume contest! Schedule: 8:00 a.m. Registration begins, Vendor Marketplace and Sit, Stay, and Play! Training Park open. 9:00 a.m. Walk & Run begins. 10:00 a.m. Deadline to register your dog for the costume contest. 10:30 a.m. Dog costume contest. 11:00 a.m. Event concludes, Vendor Marketplace and Sit, Stay, and Play! Training Park close

Paint Your Pet with the Pasadena Humane Society
Are you a Pawblo Poochcasso, or more of a Clawed Meownet? Discover your inner artist at Pasadena Humane as you Paint Your Pet! Whether you’re an experienced painter or have never picked up a paintbrush in your life, instructor Crescent Cheng will guide you through the steps to create your very own masterpiece of your animal. Your registration fee includes a 9×12 canvas, paints, brushes, light hors d’oeuvres, and beverages. Please bring your own smock and a close-up photo of your pet to help you create your painting.
Join the Wildlife Observation & Nature Journaling at Arlington Garden with Pasadena Humane Society
Join The Pasadena Humane at Arlington Garden for a reprieve where you can come and go as you please. Pasadena Humane wildlife staff (Certified California Naturalists) will be available to help identify some of the plants and wildlife in the garden and assist those new to nature journaling. You are welcome to explore the garden at your own pace. A limited supply of bottled water and masks will be provided, and oranges from the garden’s orchard will be made available. Participants of all experience levels are encouraged to share their knowledge and use community science tools like eBird, Merlin Bird ID, and iNaturalist. They will have a small selection of paper, pencils, clipboards, binoculars, and field guidebooks available. Feel free to bring your preferred supplies, such as personal scopes, binoculars, cameras, and journaling materials. While there will be some chairs and benches available, consider bringing your own folding chair or cushion for a more comfortable experience.

Don’t forget to check out their vendor marketplace for cat toys, artsy goodies, stylish clothes, and other unique treasures. And what’s a kitten shower without gifts? Bring an item to support their kitten care program or purchase one of their adorable gift baskets to donate. Feeling inspired to foster? Set out on an unforgettable adventure with their Scout Programs! Dive into a 75-minute immersive experience for scouts to earn an exclusive Pasadena Humane patch. Engage in hands-on educational activities, enriching encounters, and meaningful service tasks. Their expert-led exploration allows groups of up to 20 scouts, accompanied by two adult chaperones, to uncover the care they provide to the diverse animals that pass through the shelter annually. Your troop can choose: The Pasadena Humane experience which is suitable for all ages within any troop where your troop will go on a tour and engage in a service project for shelter animals depending on shelter needs. The Tailored program meets patch scout requirements ranging from Brownies to Cadettes. These tailored programs ensure an educational journey resonating deeply with each scout’s level and interests. Join them and let the curiosity of your troop ignite as they discover, learn, and earn a badge that signifies their dedication to animal welfare. It’s more than a visit—it’s an inspiring experience that fosters compassion and knowledge in young minds while supporting their mission to care for and protect our beloved animal companions.
