Connect Pets with Families with The Milo Foundation at Mobile Adoption Events
The Milo Foundation bring their adoptable residents directly to the community through a series of mobile adoption events held throughout the month. Volunteers in this role help showcase a select group of dogs and cats—many of whom are currently in foster care—to potential adopters in high-traffic areas. They assist with event setup, handle the animals safely during "meet and greets," and provide information to the public about the foundation's mission to save animals from high-kill shelters. These outreach activities are a critical part of their strategy to find the perfect match for their animals, allowing people to meet and fall in love with their next family member in a relaxed, local setting. Meet Your New Kitty Friend at Stray Cat Alliance
Stray Cat Alliance educates and empowers communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy and valued. They welcome interested adopters on Saturdays from 2 PM to 5 PM and Tuesdays from 5 PM to 7PM. Come on down to their facility and check out the adoptable cats and kittens. It is not necessary to complete an application in advance, but submitting an adoption application prior to visiting will speed up the process! Volunteer to Support Adoption Events at A Cat’s Tale
A Cat’s Tale is an all-volunteer organization. Since there are no paid employees it is their volunteers who help them run their rescue and help them save the lives of homeless animals. Their to do list is long and they can always use more help! Want to get involved? They need foster parents and volunteers in the following areas: Cat habitat cleaning and maintenance, Cat adoption team volunteers for events in Culver City and Manhattan Beach, Adoption event help for special adoption events, Sewing help -to create crate pads for cats/kittens, Bookkeeping/Tax assistant, Fund raising and grant writing assistants, Cat Photographer/ Videographer, Special events coordinator to develop and organize special events, Newsletter writer, Correspondence secretaries to send out information and send thank you notes, Transporting cats to and from veterinary clinics

Volunteer to Help Animals with LA County Animal Care and Control
The County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control relies on volunteer support from the community to provide additional public service and animal care programs that are vital to a healthy community. They are currently in need of committed volunteers, able to make a nine month or more commitment. If you have a love for animals and have a minimum of eight hours a month to donate your time, please consider becoming a volunteer in one of their seven animal care centers. Opportunities include helping with administrative work, adoptions, community events, and more. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age at the beginning of service. If a volunteer is a minor (16-17), parental permission is required. Orientations are held a minimum of once a quarter or bi-annually depending on the care center location. After applying, you will receive an auto email with more information and a Volunteer Coordinator will reach out with next steps. Once orientation is completed, volunteers will be required to complete online and in person training.

Dedication & Everlasting Love to Animals, also known, as D.E.L.T.A. Rescue is the largest "No Kill, Care-for-Life," Animal Sanctuary of its kind in the world. Founded by Leo Grillo, he D.E.L.T.A. Rescue super sanctuary is home to more than 1500 animals that have all been abandoned in the wilderness. Dogs and cats who have been abandoned are about to live out their lives in comfort and safety with warm homes, high-quality food, and medical care. D.E.L.T.A. Rescue is the only organization that absolutely refuses to accept animals from the public when they want to give them up. D.E.L.T.A. rescues only animals that are abandoned in the wilderness. D.E.L.T.A. does not adopt out its rescued animals and instead provides them a safe and loving home for the rest of their lives.
