Volunteers are vital to the success of their program and they truly appreciate your willingness to help them work toward their mission of helping their students achieve success through their equine vaulting program. What will volunteers do? There's a variety of tasks that volunteers may be asked to do: Side walking/spotting during lessons, Leading horses during lessons, Grooming horses, Cleaning stalls, Landscaping/gardening, General ranch work, Assisting with office work. What will volunteers need to bring or wear? Closed toed shoes, long pants, and a shirt with sleeves (T-shirts are fine; no tank tops) are required. A hat is recommended on sunny days. They recommend bringing plenty of water. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old. Beautify Lunada Bay at Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy’s Volunteer Day

Join the PVP Land Conservancy from 9am-11:30am for a Beautify Lunada Bay Volunteer Day! The long-term goals of this project are to restore attractive, locally native, drought tolerant plants to open space areas in Lunada Bay. Help restore this site for wildlife and the community to enjoy! The Beautify Lunada Bay Volunteer Day event is open to all skill levels. Help Habitat Restoration Work at the Agua Amarga Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy

Join the PVP Land Conservancy as they continue their habitat restoration work in Lunada Canyon at the Agua Amarga Nature Reserve. You will be removing non-native plants and/or planting coastal sage scrub habitat! You will be meeting at the trail head on Rock Park Dr. Street parking is available along Rock Park Drive and Kings Harbor Road. You will be working outdoors, so please wear closed-toed shoes, bug spray, sun protection and be sure to bring drinking water and a snack. This event is moderately strenuous. Start your morning with a visit to the Rosemont Preserve and wander the trail – discover this beautiful wilderness area in our very own community! Friends of the Rosemont Preserve Committee members will be available to answer questions and show you this community resource they have worked so hard to protect and develop. Please wear sturdy shoes to walk the trail. The Preserve is located in La Crescenta at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. Directions: Exit La Crescenta Avenue off 210 fwy, proceed north to Foothill Blvd., turn right to Rosemont Avenue, turn left. Parking is available at Two Strike Park which is on the left side of Rosemont Avenue, 2 blocks before you get to the preserve (5107 Rosemont Ave).***RAIN CANCELS***

Join Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy’s Outdoor Volunteer Day at the White Point Nature Preserve

Join the PVP Land Conservancy at White Point Nature Preserve! They will be planting native plant species and/or removing invasive, non-native plants to restore and improve critical habitat for wildlife at the preserve, and beautify outdoor natural space for the community. By volunteering you will help the Conservancy maintain and care for the White Point gardens by planting native shrubs, removing invasive weeds, watering, or laying down mulch and more! White Point is located at 1600 W. Paseo del Mar in San Pedro. You can access the Nature Preserve by entering the free parking lot from Western Avenue as it turns into Paseo del Mar. They are located at the end of the road on the left-hand side. Please note that events may be cancelled due to weather conditions. Please come prepared to work outdoors by wearing closed-toed shoes, and by bringing sun protection, drinking water and a snack.
