Help Grow Native Plants Palos Verdes Land Conservancy

Thank you for supporting the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy! Come volunteer with them at their Native Plant Nursery! You will help transplant seedlings and prepare native plants to be planted in restoration sites around the Peninsula to improve wildlife habitat! The Native Plant Nursery is located in San Pedro on a secured Navy Fuel Support Point. All volunteers must email Brittany Goldsmith at bgoldsmith@pvplc.org to fill out paperwork in order to get a Navy Badge for access to this site. Minimum one month commitment is needed. Volunteers who do not have their Navy Badge will not be permitted to enter the Navy base. Please arrive 15 minutes early to account for the security. Volunteers will be working outdoors, so please wear closed-toed shoes, sun protection and be sure to bring drinking water and a snack. Please note that many events have been suspended until further notice for the safety of their volunteers. For offered events, face masks, bringing your own gloves, hand sanitizer and social distancing will be required. Reservation will be required.
