Ace of Hearts is non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and relies upon private donations to help fund their rescue operation. All donations are tax deductible. And since they are an all volunteer organization, 100% of your donation directly benefits their animals. Our ongoing expenses include: veterinary care, boarding, feeding, equipment, costs of rescuing new dogs from the shelter system as their current dogs are adopted out. Help Preserve Starr Ranch by Donating
Thank you for supporting Starr Ranch. Your donation will help: Enroll students in our Field Ecology and Junior Biologist programs, now in their second decade of giving insight into nature and imparting valuable practical skills. Support their seasonal restoration and education staff – recent college graduates from all over the country who come to live and work at Starr Ranch for 6-10 months to learn about their innovative approaches to restoration, wildlife research, and education. Remove invasive plant species – without the use of toxic chemicals – in preparation to restore rare habitats such as coastal sage scrub, which is found only here, in Southern California. Increase the quality of the viewing experience of Starr Ranch's webcams – their broadcasts heard 'round the world. Maintain Starr Ranch. This includes twelve buildings, eight vehicles, two tractors plus implements, and 18 miles of roads. Most importantly, it will help preserve this special place. Have Your Pet’s Portrait Made by a Youth in the C.A.R.E.4Paws Youth Program
C.A.R.E.4Paws is proud to partner with the amazing youth at the United Boys & Girls Club in Lompoc to provide wonderful portraits of all types of pets, while raising critical funds their critical work. This includes their youth program, Paws Up For Pets, which promotes compassion and accountability for animals and inspires empathy in their community as a whole.The youth work very hard on the pieces and not only do they have fun, but they feel a strong sense of achievement in the process.
