A Cat’s Tale is an all-volunteer organization. Since there are no paid employees it is their volunteers who help them run their rescue and help them save the lives of homeless animals. Their to do list is long and they can always use more help! Want to get involved? A Cat's Tale needs foster parents and volunteers in the following areas: Cat habitat cleaning and maintenance, Cat adoption team volunteers for events in Culver City and Manhattan Beach, Adoption event help for special adoption events, Sewing help -to create crate pads for cats/kittens, Bookkeeping/Tax assistant, Fund raising and grant writing assistants, Cat Photographer/ Videographer, Special events coordinator to develop and organize special events, Newsletter writer, Correspondence secretaries to send out information and send thank you notes, Transporting cats to and from veterinary clinics! Care for Cute Rabbits with Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation
Help abandoned rabbits by cleaning, socializing, and assisting at adoption venues and/or animal shelters. Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation has a special need for volunteers who care for rabbits in shelters. This involves cleaning and feeding the bunnies, and/or socializing and exercising them. It's also important that volunteers work with others kindly. And you have to be willing to take direction when it comes to what and how the rabbits are fed and cared for, as they have a set routine. They'll work with your schedule. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old with parents present, or over 16 if volunteering without a guardian. Join the Pet Wellness Day Event Crew with Michelson Found Animals
Help out at check-in or with general setup at monthly wellness events, providing free pet services, resources and humane education to surrounding communities. Must be at least 13 years old, and 13-15 year olds must volunteer with a guardian. Must be flexible and willing to help with a variety of tasks as assigned. Westside German Shepherd Rescue is comprised of a very strong family of volunteers. They cherish all their volunteers and are always in need of new ones. Whether its walking, bathing, fostering or transporting their dogs; assisting at outdoor adoption events and fundraisers; or lending a hand with admin work, volunteer work is always appreciated Their goal is simple, to save as many German Shepherd dogs as possible. They give them medical care, lots of good food, exercise and live while they wait for their forever families. Your help allows them to continue to help everyday. Volunteering is a great way to offer direct help to the dogs at the rescue and you’ll get to see first-hand the difference you're making! They need your help with dog walking, socializing dogs, playing with the dogs, grooming, and landscaping. Whatever you know how to do, there’s a place for you! For every portrait we take, Big Sunday will donate 5 cans of dog food or cat food (your choice!) to our Wild & Woolly Pet Food Collection! (The goal in April is 2024 cans of each. You do the math!)
