Bring your pet by Big Sunday headquarters to have their portrait taken (for FREE!) by a professional photographer. The portrait can include people (e.g., you) or just be your pet. For every portrait we take, Big Sunday will donate 5 cans of dog food or cat food (your choice!) to our Wild & Woolly Pet Food Collection! Please Note: This is a limited capacity event. Volunteers visit their office to pick up pet food and deliver it to home bound clients in their neighborhood. You must have a healthy back and be capable of lifting as much as 40 lbs. In addition, you must have a valid California driver's license and current automobile insurance. Great for families!

Come on down to the PAWS/LA Pet Food Bank in Downtown Los Angeles and help distribute pet food and supplies to clients.

If you love cats and want to join in building a No Kill Nation one stray at a time, Stray Cat Alliance has a volunteer opportunity for you! One way for you to help out is by feeding and cleaning cats in their clinic and assist with clinic stocking. There is an application for adults and one for minors (ages 14-17) on their website!

Spring has arrived, and it's the most expensive time of the year here at The Gentle Barn! Our 200 rescued animals have everything they need (and more!) all year long, but each spring, we take extra measures to ensure that they stay happy and healthy in the coming season. The sheep need shearing, the llamas need haircuts, the horses and donkeys need dental care and vaccinations, the cows and pigs need hoof trims, the horses and cows need fly and sun protection, everyone needs deworming, and the straw in the barns must be replaced with cool sand. On top of all that, each of our animals still needs the same organic grass hay and organic fruits & veggies that keep them nourished and healthy all year long!
