PalsNPets is dedicated to help people experiencing homelessness and their pets. Their mission is to support interim housing with veterinary assistance, pet education, grooming, and dog training. By offering these services, they enable individuals to access shelter while keeping their beloved pets by their side.

Pasadena Humane is more than an animal shelter; they are a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals. Since 1903, Pasadena Humane has offered lifesaving programs and services for animals and the people who love them in the Greater Los Angeles Area. At their Pasadena campus, they provide shelter, dedicated care and new beginnings for thousands of their community’s most vulnerable animals every year. In addition to pet adoptions and foster, they focus on programs and services aimed at helping people care for and keep their pets, such as free and low-cost spay/neuter and vaccines, a pet food pantry, and an animal support call center. In 2022, Pasadena Humane helped nearly 40,000 animals through adoptions, wildlife rehabilitation, lost & found, veterinary services, and surrender prevention assistance.

Paws 4 Healing was founded in September 2003 by a group of experienced Animal-Assisted Therapy teams. Since that time their membership has grown and they now have eight chapters located in southern California. Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a goal-directed intervention in which an animal that meets specific criteria is an integral part of the treatment process. AAT is directed and/or delivered by a health/human service professional with specialized expertise, and within the scope of practice of his/her profession. AAT is designed to promote improvement in human physical, social, emotional, and/or cognitive functioning. AAT is provided in a variety of settings and may be group or individual in nature. All AAT interventions are documented and evaluated for their effectiveness.

Thousands of low-income seniors and individuals with life-threatening illnesses in Los Angeles rely on the unconditional love of their companion animals. They struggle to meet their own basic needs and have a difficult time providing basic care for their pets. At PAWS/LA, they know that a companion animal can provide both emotional and psychological benefits. They believe it is vital to keep people and pets together. To meet the great demand for pet food, toys, bedding and other necessities, they rely on caring neighbors like you. With your donation, Project Minnie can: Feed a homeless dog or cat for a week, ​Provide a clean water bowl for a homeless animal, Improve a dog’s safety by providing a leash, harness and/or collar, Keep a pet warm with a sweater or bed, Pay for a veterinary visit to diagnose and treat a sick or injured pet, Purchase medication for a sick pet, Provide annual vaccinations to keep a dog or cat healthy, and Spay or neuter a pet, preventing more pets in overcrowded shelter.

Each week Ride On spends just under $2,000 to care for our 34 horses – feed, shoes, shots, cleaning and vet care. Each week Ride On pays their 9 riding instructors and 8 therapists just under $5,000 to provide the high quality treatment and instruction you see when you visit their ranches. They Wouldn't Be Here Without You! Without their very special equine therapists, the remarkable accomplishments of their riders would not be possible. It costs OVER $3,000 a year for the care and maintenance of each of Ride On’s horses, including such essentials as shoeing, feed and vet bills. Their wonderful horse sponsors help make miracles happen through their tax-deductible donations of $3,000 towards the cost of maintaining one horse for one year. Sponsors may choose from a list of horses and their donations will be set aside exclusively for their care at Ride On. Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. was started in early 1998. Since then, they have grown from their initial seven volunteer members to nearly 150 volunteers who work throughout Southern California assisting Labrador Retrievers in need.
