Paws for Life K9 Rescue: Junior Advisory Council (JAC) invites middle and high school students in the Los Angeles area to join a youth-led movement dedicated to animal advocacy and education. Help Provide Animal Assisted Therapy as a Love On 4 Paws Volunteer

Love On 4 Paws wants to share animals with other people - especially those who are more vulnerable, lonely, or in pain. Working with the people they visit is rewarding and fun. It is wonderful to see the affection between the patients and the dogs. In the case of some of the children they visit, the Love On 4 Paws program is their first opportunity to touch or play with an animal. Being a Love On 4 Paws volunteer is not always easy. You'll have to deal with hospital requirements (TB tests, written exams), frequent dog baths, yearly dog health exams, LA traffic, etc. But, the joy and happiness you and your wonderful animal can bring to people who are bedridden, in wheelchairs, or isolated from normal companionship is unbelievable!!! Love On 4 Paws volunteers need to be 18 or more years old, and must be able to pass a basic background check. Click here to start the process: https://www.loveon4paws.org/volunteer/

Sponsor A Group’s Visit to The Gentle Barn

At The Gentle Barn, they save the lives of animals who are too old, sick, scared, or injured to be adopted, and who would otherwise be euthanized. They give the animals sanctuary with us, and when they are ready, partner with them to help people suffering from the same stories of trauma, and connect people to the love and magic of animals. The Gentle Barn is host to foster agencies, drug and alcohol rehab centers, war veteran centers, domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters, children’s hospitals, burn centers, and individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, and grief. Sponsor a group of children to come to The Gentle Barn to learn kindness and compassion. A donation could enable a group of children to participate in their ten-month Peace Enhancement program. These children then become protectors instead of abusers for the rest of their lives. Please help a group of children who otherwise could not afford to come. Thank you so much for your love and support. Click here to get started: https://www.gentlebarn.org/programs/#GB-GD-PEACE
