Join the Fungus Fighters workshop at Pasadena Humane Society
Join the ranks of their Fungus Fighters and become a kitten foster superhero! During kitten season, the shelter often see baby cats coming through their doors with ringworm – which, despite its name, is actually a fungus. It’s highly treatable, but kittens with ringworm need specialized TLC separate from kittens who don’t have it. That’s where you come in! In this workshop, their expert staff will empower you to foster ringworm kittens through educational presentations and hands-on activities. You’ll learn how to identify the fungus, safely handle and care for these kittens in your own home, and effectively administer treatment. So put on your cape and come find out how you can help these tiny, vulnerable felines thrive!
Fungus Fighters assemble! Workshops will run every hour throughout the duration of this event.

Volunteer At Sea with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society needs people who are compelled to fight the injustices perpetrated upon whales, dolphins, seals, sea turtles, sea birds, fish, and every living thing in the world’s oceans. They need such people on their ship and in the ranks of our supporters. They are looking for navigators, sailors, engineers, electricians, carpenters, welders, cooks, medics or nurses, small boat operators, photographers, videographers, electronics technicians, radio and antenna technicians, and even a few unskilled but dedicated Ocean Defenders. Volunteering means dedicating usually at least a month out at sea while pulling destructive longlines from the ocean, saving ocean wildlife, educating future generations, & making good friends. The objective is to protect and save ocean wildlife and to uphold International Conservation Law. For more information, check out their website

Adopting an orphan can make all the difference to their passage back to the wild where they belong. The passage can take up to 12 years, many of which require loving care and watchful eyes. They need your help to continue to support them as well as protecting and preserving the habitat that they will ultimately be released to. Your support will not only ensure they protect this keystone species, but also it will allow us to share what they've learned about these beautiful animals and educate future conservationists across the globe.
